Nine young leaders from Buffalo City to take part in the Mandela Children’s Fund National Consultation in Cape Town this month.
SPF is very pleased that nine young women who have been a part of the Bumb’Ingomso Leadership Programme have been selected to represent their province at the National Assembly later this month, as part of the Mandela Children’s Fund National Consultation which takes place in Cape Town from the 9th of July until the 13th of July.
In an article for Dispatch Live, journalist Madeleine Chaput said that the women are part of a “group of 20 youngsters who will represent the Eastern Cape” after “participating in the regional leg of the consultation.”
The young women, who all hail from Buffalo City, are Yamkela Dunjwa, Lorna Yose, Lupho Mfobi, Sanele Dakalo Faltein, Nonkosikhona Moshani, Zanele Nele Happiness, Sanelisiwe Tsengwa, Inga Mtiya and Mihlali Kratshi.
According to Dispatch Live, the consultations have been arranged by the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund “in partnership with the Department of Tourism”, the format of which is that of a “Youth Summit which provides youngsters with a platform to discuss challenges faced by the youth with a specific focus on promoting opportunities through domestic tourism.”
