Just under one hundred young people from Openshaw are well on their way to owning their first identification documents
SPF is pleased with the latest developments in the PEPFAR OVC programme. The programme, which is coordinated by Zandile Matyila, ensures that safety net care is provided to orphans and vulnerable woman and children in 18 identified sites in Buffalo City.
On the 20th of June, the team had a total of 96 OVCs from Openshaw, along with their parents, transported to the Department of Home Affairs in East London to apply for their IDs.
According to latest reports, the following month will include the continuation of this sort of support to 17 OVC forums, which includes transporting these young people to the Department of Home Affairs for registration.
