We visited the school for Health Talks to Grades 7, 8, & 9. On arrival at the school we talked to the principal Mr Mjombile about the programme. When we visited this in 2017 during the catch-up Plan he related to us that the pregnancy rate in the school was very high in so much that there was a class they nicknamed “Maternity Ward”. Talking to the principal we asked him what the position looked like this year. He told us that they are excited that the learners are listening to us because only one child so far is pregnant. We were happy to hear this as well.
Soul Buddyz club
SPF LSA has 4 clubs in this school. She has seen great improvement of being confident within the club members.
Nabubom Club: Milisa Mnqwazi who could not express herself in front of the group but now she is confident and even assist other club members when they chairpersons and secretaries. The principal at this school is very supportive and he would like SPF to do Health Education (KGIS) as well to these learners (14 – 18 years) because of LSA’s good work in his school.
